Week 6 - Beneto

"Shadow Eater"

This week, I wanted to change the pace and try something else. I did a quick bust in clay of the creature I had in mind, as well as a rough concept.
I wanted to use an aggressive, very saturated color palette, which I thought would fit the design I was going for.

Lyle week 2 Thumbs

Some Tripod Alien ideas I put together. Was thinking a little about creatures that could live in a Cthulhu like world when I did these.

Week 6: "shadow eater"

The Topic for week 6 is going to be "Shadow Eater." I guess we will find what eats in the shadows or actually eats shadows.

week 5 - Lyle

"Chieftain's son, master of the blood relic"

For this week I wanted to make a character that comes  from a peaceful tribe. The one thing that protects them is the blood relic. An orb that constantly bleeds and steels the life from attackers of the one whom holds the relic. The Chieftain has given the relic to his well to do son as attacks have been more frequent.

Week 5 - Beneto

"Chieftain's son, master of the blood relic"

Here is my concept for this week. I went for something that would fit within the Warcraft universe; Hence the bold, exaggerated shapes of the costume and the orc's proportions. The entire maquette was sculpted in ZBrush and textured/ comp'd in Photoshop.

Week 5: "Chieftain's son, master of the blood relic"

Sticking with a Fantasy topics week fives topic is:

"Chieftain's son, master of the blood relic"

Week 4 - Lyle

This week I wanted to attempt to design something with a traditional demon feel. I thought it would be interesting to put a large ruin of ancient magic coming out of his back.

Week 4 - Beneto

"Mythical guardian of the dark gate"
My concept this week is a re-design of the almighty Tarrasque; The most feared creature by any D&D campaign. It would take an insane mind to even approach a gate guarded by this legendary beast.
Since the creature doesn't fly, it has heavy back protection. I gave it a more demonic and aggressive look (being the tool of ultimate destruction and all).

Week 3 - Beneto

Here is my concept for the "interplanetary drifter".

I gave him plenty of gadgetry and accessories so that he can adapt to the planet he is going to next.
There is a "spider legs" mechanism on the backpack that allows it to walk on its own, following the drifter like a pet. (wanted to sketch that out, but ran out of time).

Week 2 - Beneto

Here is my entry for this week's concept; "Tripod Alien Lifeform"

This creature comes from a place where mammals "sense" their environment through the planet's energy and feeds by absorbing it through their head receptacle which then travels through the body. The cubs feed on their mother through the teats; The energy transfer occurs when their heads come close enough to the energy source.
